ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS PLEASE REMEMBER TO SIGN OUT IN THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE WHEN LEAVING ON A BLUE SLIP.  Also you must sign in when arriving late.

Attention All Seniors:  Check your attendance on Powerschool.  Limited number of Saturday School days left to clear attendance, this includes first and second semester.  If in doubt come and check in the office.

11th Graders

San Diego Mesa College will be hosting the African American Achievement Summit for 11th grader on April 10th from 8:00-2:00 p.m..  Please pick up your permission slip and register by March 20th as SDUSD wants to engage the African American identity, building, and maximizing agency, and access to college and career.  Please pick up your permission slip and return it no later than March 20.  Register now!

Attention Seniors:

If you have received an acceptance letter from San Diego State University, you are invited to the SDSU “What’s Next” presentation on Friday, March 27 at 10:30 in the Media Center.  Come learn from an SDSU counselor all  the steps you must follow in order to make sure you are on track to start at SDSU for Fall of 2020.  If you are interested to attend you must pick up a permission slip from the counseling office and get it  signed by your fourth period teacher.  Signed permission slips can be turned to Mrs. Perez-Ibarra before or at the door the day of the event.

Are you planning on enrolling in college courses for next year?? If so, there is a mandatory meeting that you and a parent must attend in order to be eligible to take a college course starting in Fall 2020/Spring 2021. Due to the high number of students requesting college courses we have arranged to host two separate meeting nights.  Students with Last names A-L must attend March 16; students with last names M-Z must attend March 18.  Both meetings will be held in the Media Center and are scheduled to begin at 6:00pm.  If you are not able to attend on your scheduled date you can attend on the other night.  ALL STUDENTS AND PARENT MUST ATTEND, EVEN IF YOU ALREADY ATTENDED A MEETING LAST YEAR.

All  students planning on enrolling in San Diego District Community College and would like to benefit from priority registration and be ready for fall of 2020 MUST attend the Orientation on April 9, 2020.  Students will then be assigned to attend a follow up meeting with a community college counselor on either of the following dates: 

April 9  at Serra HS Media Center from 2:30p.m.-4:30 p.m.  San Diego Promise, Career Exploration and Orientation
April 14 at Serra HS Media Center from 2:30-4:30 p.m.  Counseling Ed Planning ( Last Names   A-L)
April 16 at Serra HS Media Center from 2:30-4:30 p.m.  counseling Ed Planning (Last Names M-Z)
